For the past two years I’ve been finishing my second album, a deeply personal and raw album about my childhood, and some pretty heavy themes to navigate through art. it’s been a slow process as there’s been a lot to unpack, but I think it might be a body of work I’m most proud of.

If you’ve been to any of my gigs the past couple of years you will have had a sneak peak or a preview to a few songs but the majority have never seen the light of day, some of them written when I was still a teen. I’ve held my cards close to my chest on this one for a long time, a lot of it out of respect for the privacy of my family, but if years of therapy and touring-related food poisoning has taught me anything it’s ‘better out than in’ tbh. As a fully independent, and self funded artist though this also means pulling together the album financially as well as creatively, so thank you once again for your patience there. While I chip away at this David v Goliath record, here’s a playlist of the vibe on the way. And again, as always, thank you so much for still being here after all these years, whether it’s from the James album, from Triple J Comp days, or all the way back to my teenage The Voice Australia days - some days your support was the only reason I was able to keep going back when things were really rough. All I’ve ever wanted is to reach people through music and make them feel seen, heard and less alone - if I’ve managed to do that for even one person then it’s been worth it. See you on the other side xx
